This year CMA was more like Carrie and Brad show. Brad Paisley hosted the show and was the biggest winner of the CMA. He took home two prestigious awards the Music Video of the year award and Male Vocalist of the year award for song “waiting on a woman”. Former American idol Carrie Underwood who co-hosted the show with Brad Paisley bagged the Female Vocalist of year for straight three years in a row she made a joke saying “Mama, it’s real hard to sing when you’re in the second row crying!”.
Kenny Chesney is the entertainer of the year for the fourth time (third time on a row) at the CMA, presented to him by Country diva Shania Twain who appear to CMA after 2004. Lady Antebellum group won the Artist of the year Award.
Amongst presenters was Reese Witherspoon who presented Male vocalist of the year for Paisley. Nicole Kidman came with his country singer husband Keith Urban and presented Single of the year for George Strait for “I saw a God today” along with Hugh Jackman. George Strait also won Album of the year for “Troubador”.
Show was opened by host Brad Paisley with Keith Urban, two superstar of country music which was twice as nice. Kerry Underwood was the show stealer with 6 wardrobe changes and breakthrough song “just a dream”. Kellie Pickler performance was also over the top. Kid rock rocked the show with special guest Lil Wayne on guitar wearing matching jersey.
All in all nice show.
